Trader Joe's coffee selection has been shrinking recently, it's quite sad.

My shops use Onyx Coffee Lab, Cat & Cloud, Bandit Coffee Co., Parlor Coffee, Sey Coffee, La Cabra, Lil Wolf, Kittel, Bold Bean, Maquina, and Talor Jorgen. If you're looking for cheaper coffee Trader Joe's does alright and if there is a Fresh Market near you they source some good stuff. The local roaster thing is a meme. Shipping never takes more than a few days and sealed coffee is fine for a lot longer than people think. We do espresso that is like a month old and it is great.

Fresh Roasted Coffee on Amazon for cheap, decent single origins. Makes sure you select the option that's shipped by them, not Amazon, so it's actually fresh

How long after roasting do you normally receive it? So far I have only purchased online from places that directly state their roasting days and that they ship immediately after roasting. I'm sure it's not a big deal to have a longer time but I don't want to pay $2 less to get something roasted 6 months ago.

We usually get stuff that is about 3 days off roast. Some of the smaller roasters we work with are 4-5 because they aren't doing enough volume to get shipping breaks yet. All the roasters I mentioned will have a roast day listed online and they are very friendly if you shoot them an e-mail asking about shipping options.

What's a good sub $50 grinder?

Fresh Roasted Coffee roasts the day of or the day before they ship and they use USPS Priority 2-day.

I know it's hard to find a good one but can anybody recommend a good decaf whole bean?
>>10851354
Don't even bother my man. You need a conical burr period. Just buy whole beans at your store and use the grinding machine they have by the cashier. Most stores have a quality grinder.

As for my own coffee. I unironically enjoy Black Rifle Coffee which has been pretty meme-ish. Coffee or Die is my favorite.
I also like Real Good Coffee Company stuff. It's on Amazon.

But then the coffee I make a fortnight later will have been ground an entire two weeks ago.

$50 is a bit low. Check the Barataza site for a refurb grinder there. I bought one years ago and its been grinding beans ever since.
