It's because if your channel either has potential or gets popular enough a TV station or media production group approach you and offer to either buy your channel from you or to pay you in exchange for changing your content and """improving""" the show.

A friend of mine does this all the time. He works in film and TV as a job and a hobby in his spare time. He comes up with an idea for a clickbait Youtube channel, pumps out daily 5min content for a couple of months and sells the channel off to some TV station or production group when it gets a bit popular. They just change up the actors/presenters and say the original guy quit or is taking a break.

Youtube stopped being original content by the common man years ago, it's just another TV station at this point with some exceptions, SteveMRE being one of them.
I still suspect he's sold out though because according to him lately ALL of the food in every MRE tastes great, he used to eat gross ones or expired ones and bitch about the food. He probably gets told by his Youtube bosses not to make negative comments about certain country's MREs because they'll hurt someone's fee-fees.
