It's the olive oil of the cooler temperate region as well as a decent deep frying oil for deep-frying for homemade fish and chips. My family usually use canola for deep-frying frybread these days ever since a new grocery store was opened.

Canola/vegetable oil is okay, since it’s super neutral tasting. But peanut oil or sunflower is way way tastier in some dishes. Still, I don’t mind canola, and it’s what I usually use for high temp cooking. EVG is for flavor/low temp, and I’ve never tried rapeseed, though I hear it’s much like canola.

Linseed isn't good for cooking stuff it is used for art stuff the oil produced by the same plant for cooking is Flaxseed or just flax oil, mostly it is good for seasoning cast iron and Dutch ovens
