I'm in NYC now but I've lived and traveled all over. The fattest states I've been to are the entire south, plus ohio (technically that might still be the south), indiana, and missouri. Also nebraka and kansas were pretty fat.

The rest of the midwest isn't as bad, but the standards are still way different. Epic Magazine and Heavy Metal was adults only, so they had to be cleverly shoved up the sleeve of your coat. Not sure why SSoCtB was less scrutinized for adult content.
