Abondance cheese is pretty nice
I got some from a local shop situated on a hill, very creamy. Nutty and caramel-like in flavour.

I like the boar's head white cheedar, and the soft cheeses are good too that you can spread on a cracker easily like Brie I guess

I like any red wine that is over $25 a bottle

>> No.10811660

Mortgage, actually, and it comes out around $2000 including maintenance.

The great thing about being a coastie is we can get perfectly decent wine for $15 which, assuming I ate Boar's Head crap (I don't), is the most I'd ever spend to go with that shit. Probably better off with some no-name Catalayud for $8.

$25+ gets you legit wine and you'd better be eating real food with that, not shit-tier pre-sliced midnight bodega cold cuts.

In flyover country everything is marked up like mad, last time I was there a bottle of vin de pays that goes for $11 here was selling for over $20 presumably because of the religious maniacs and their sin taxes.

Property values in this area here aren't like in your roundup-contaminated corn field, they dipped after 9/11 for a few months, and the growth went flat (no real drop) in 07-08, then continued to rise again after the panic subsided. You planning on dropping a nuke on us? Because that might do something.

In terms of wine I generally prefer red wines like St. Emilion or pinot noir or garnacha, but I'm a huge fan of Albarino which is probably my favourite type of wine.
