Is there a better mushroom than the king oyster mushroom?
Protip: No. there isn’t.

Sauteed with garlic, the salmon and the rice king oyster cannot be beat.

they're fine.. matsutake, porcini, chanterelle, morel, lobster, maitake, and even shiitake are all better IMO.

chanterelles are probably one of the best mushrooms. certainly better than king oyster.. king oysters look pretty and are nice texturally for grilling/searing/cooking cause low moisture content and nice texture but they lack in flavor. shiitake tastes better.

morels are the fruiting body of a fungus, therefore they are mushrooms, same as truffles. If you think all mushrooms have to be above ground gilled fruiting bodies then you should start calling them agarics
