I hope you guys don't do this. Vegetarian chili is tasty as fuck, just use lots of beans. I also like to give the beans, tomatoes, and peppers a few pulses with the immersion blender, and I serve with rice.

I'm pescatarian, and even I know that the main component of chili is beef. What you're describing is "tex mex stew". That said, TVP and bulgur both make for excellent ground beef substitutes.

I'm also pescetarian and I find fish-based chili to be superior to both the traditional beef version and to vegetarian alternatives. Just make sure to use pike or similar fish and don't hold back on the dill.
