Fact is, the vast majority of the severely disabled aren't well enough to have gainful employment to be able to earn enough to be able to afford private health insurance.

Also, if the ACA gets repealed, then insurance companies can start to deny the disabled coverage for pre-existing conditions all over again, meaning that those who, through some grace of some sort or other, have private insurance coverage will lose it and become wholly reliant on gubmint-provided healthcare.
