Polish import store opened up nearby. I ended up only getting snacks because everything looked so plain as fuck.

Any recommendations?

Imagine working at that hot dog stand
Or worse yet
Imagine dating the girl working there and listening to her talking about her day

so is Polish food, plain as fuck. Their beer is pretty competitive price-wise, at least in the UK.

Polish lager gets you fucked up for like no money. I think they lie about ABC. I was getting one that said it was 5.6%. That shit was 7% easy. Taste wise not bad either. Kinda like an improved Bud heavy.

Sausages and hams are good.
Polish pickles are good.
Ptasie Mleczko is good.
Prince Polo is good.

>Sausages and hams are good.
Prol tier when compared to Italian and French hams and sausages. Slav cuisine wasn't much to start with, and 60 years of communism decimated anything remotely refined.

I asked this a couple of years ago and I think basically I got told they do good pickles and I still buy Polish gherkins. Mayonnaise was meant to be amazing but didn't taste any different to me. Honey and condiment s were another thing but I don't eat those anyway.

Does anyone know if any of their sausages are similar to bratwurst or something I could make hotdogs with?

East euro foods usually i go for cured meat, knoor chicken stock, knoor soup packets, pickled veg, mayo, paprika, rye bread, pretzels, perhaps alcohol.

Potatoes, carrot, fresh meat, cabbage, beetroots, etc can be bought in other places.

Man, there's a Polish grocery store a few minutes away from me and they have all kinds of great food. In addition to the stuff everyone's heard of, like pierogi and kielbasa, they have (and they make all this in their kitchen): zapiekanka, pyzy z mięsem, kapusta, bigos, galumpki, golabki, paszteciki, and kiszka ziemiaczana.

You can look all that up but suffice it to say, it's all awesome

This is the thing kiddo; the relative lack of food caused many to use cuts and methods that are fucking phenomenal done right and aren't seen in most of Europe. Good homemade hams, smoked meats, and pates with fresh foraged ingredients are leagues ahead of most of the world IMHO

You're gonna trigger the food snob police. Which is a good thing.
Make some Hawaiin kielbasa and make a post here for endless reeeees. It's fucking delicious (the dish and the tears).
Making superior gringo tacos loaded with guac on flour tortillas and posting it to reddit gives the best reeeeeeeturn on investment.

You mean knorr? I used to be able to find their stuff and every generic grocery store. Now even wegmens doesn't carry it. Shame.
I love their ghoulash mix and the hollandaise sauce packet is god tier for making easy cream of crab.

I'm from England and we have occasional polish/east euro shops/stores or east euro/world food section in grocery stores so we have easier access. I enjoy their stock, soup base stuff and cured meat the most.
