I'll eat fast food maybe once every two weeks. If I'm traveling through airports or on a road trip for 3 or 4 days I'll eat it more for convenience. But if I do go anywhere for my 'guilty pleasure' fastfood, it's either McDonalds or Taco Bell

I would like mcdonalds more but every fast food beef has trans fat in it. Same with cheese. They use the lowest quality stuff out there, not because they hate you (well maybe a little) but to keep things cheap. I understand it from a business perspective. But i will rarely eat any fast food beef and cheese products these days. Chicken products are mostly safe. The real thing fast food places have a lockdown in is fried chicken/food. Frying stuff at home takes a ton of oil and smells like shit. I like running to mcdonalds or the deli and getting chicken tenders/nuggets there

I haven't eaten McDonald's for at least 2 years. I don't miss it.

there is one at my job and i eat there maybe once every 2-3 weeks. It's a lot lower quality than bk or wendys. to me at least.

I never eat there unless I need to loiter around any of them. Why would I bother? All their food is unfilling and bland, compared to most other fast food joints too

The advantage of McDonald's is its cheap. This is why homeless people camp out there and why every culturally aspirational social circle from yuppies to hipsters have turned up their nose at the place.

You can get a salad for 5 bucks and a burger for 1 buck at McDonald's while you have to spend 12 for a full meal anywhere else including the same contents. I don't see how it isn't cheap.

In my opinion the fries are good if they're hot, everything else is meh. Don't really enjoy fast food in general. I'm lucky enough to more or less never be so strapped for time that I need to eat at a fast food place, so I like to make my own. Most people I know eat there once every few months.

That being said, if you like it (or you need to eat it for economic/time reasons) then I'm not going to be some snobby asshole who acts like I'm better than you. Those people are assholes. The secret to not liking things is not screeching autistically at people who do.

I can't get health insurance through my employment because I can't work full time hours due to illness. My second option is to purchase health insurance through the "Marketplace" (Obamacare). Because of my preexisting condition they want to charge me $330 a month for health insurance, on top of still having to pay a $5,000 deductible and a large copay. Overall it's cheaper for me to just not go to the doctor and fill my prescriptions with internet coupons (which you're not allowed to use in conjunction with health insurance, but are cheaper than using health insurance in the first place) AND then pay the gubmint a fine for not having had health insurance.

Go kill yourself if you think America's healthcare system isn't completely fucked up.

I was born into high-middle class, we can afford going to a restaurant at least once a week, the check will show at least 30 Euros per person or otherwise it's not the type of establishment we go to. All our meat is from butchers and all our vegetables are from farmer's markets. I haven't been inside an aldi or similiar shop for over five years. the point is, we can spend a lot of money on the food we want.

so from my point of view, mc donalds is barely even convenient. our equivalent of convenience food is calling the next italian restaurant and saying "we would like to pick the pizzas up asap". So just because you have more money you get far more options, I am sure you wouldn't choose McDs so often then as well.

lastly there is of course the taste, last time I've been to a fast food joint was in february by pure coincidence and lack of choice, it was McDs. Only after getting used to good quality food you will notice that the buns at that joint are terrible, you will notice that the meat has the cheapest available liver in it and overall the taste relies on overpowering sugar more than anything. It's not terrible, but I sat there thinking I deserve better.

And you know I am right by simply taking a look inside a McDs, what kind of people do you see? And why aren't you seing anybody who looks like a human resource manager? Because that person decided to spend their lunchbreak at the steakhouse.
