In fairness the system for waiting at a bar is fucked up in the first place. You end up with 10 crotchety old bastards in a row and because the guy at one end can't see the guy at the other and because both guys are probably drunk arguments over who was first happen all the time and even should the bar staff be able to serve people in the correct order you'll still have a bunch of idiots feeling as if someone has pushed in. A queue is better if you have the space although most places won't.
