Very little middle ground, it's basically food for kings and poop.

>> No.10701819

melted sharp cheddar cheese over apple pie is a fantastic combination. The sharp saltiness of the cheese goes well with the sweet apple and flaky butter crust. The pie sholdn't be overly sweet, just lightly sweet.

American food is not a cuisine.

French food is a cuisine, Italian food is a cuisine.

American food is just a mix of bread meat cheese and mexican people

its great. we've got just about everything.

American cuisine as a whole doesn't make any sense. You should distinguish many subcuisines in the UsA.

American food is taking the frosting off the cake of other culture's cuisine.
We like only the tippy top. And garbage. And everything in between.

American culture doesn't exist.

>> No.10703336

Actually if you buy smoked cheddar and add about 1/2 cup I think to the crust it tastes great but you have to buy good quality cheese. I think Grafton sells a maple-smoked cheddar that is nice.

Cheese in pie crust is brutally underrated, just American cheese is crap.

Modern technology wouldn't exist without the US. Or Tesla frankly. Transistors were invented by American physicists as well, though one was birthed in Britain.

So enjoy your computer, internet, radio, television, and alternating current systems.

The OBSESSED are so desperate they have to turn to a literal papist who died in the 1800s.

Holy fuck American you just proved Veuillot's point. If this was a subtle troll, well done, but I don't think you're that clever.

You didn't meet him on his own terms, and didn't think to argue about your artists like (to name at random) Melville, Whitman, Twain, Faulkner, Ginsburg, Pynchon, McCarthy; nor about your thinkers like Dewey, Searle, Quine, Rorty, Chomsky, or any of a million journalists, professors or public intellectuals. Instead, (with the exception of polio) you chose to name a bunch of modern equivalents of 'the aptitude for twisting iron for the construction of freight trains'.

u a shit
