Why do my cookies always come out as flat disks baka

Tried different recipes, always the same result

I did!

I tried again @ 300 for 25 mins (instead of 375 for 10). Made no difference

Apparently it can be a problem of too much sugar and butter so I might try cutting it with some more flour

I just follow the recipe on the bag of chocolate chips. Let 2 sticks of butter soften in the fridge, took between 12-24 hours, then I pounded them out with a rolling pin before mixing with the other wet ingredients. Once I had the wet and dry all put together I put the mixing bowl in the fridge for just under and hour. When I got to putting them in the oven I used a tablespoon to make rounded scoops and rolled them into balls with my hands, baked by the dozen for 13 minutes at a time. Try doing that.

Maybe you should roll each cookie dough into a sphere. Doesnt have have to be perfect. Make sure the oven is already 350 degrees Fahreinheit before putting them in.
