My dad used to drink and beat me when bored, I've rarely seen him normal, he's always drunk.
I've never been to parks or theater with him, he never let's me get a driving licence cause he doesn't have one. I'm here, locked up in my room, socially anxious because my father treated my like trash, luckily I've realised this and I'm working to recover.
I hate drunkards I fucking hate drunkards, I remember the way he used to eat his food when he's drunk, like a freaking pig!. He's civilised when sober but when drunk I don't consider him to be a human, I hate the mere sight of red eyed people. I hope drunkards kill themselves, you're nothing but a weight to others, repent and believe in God, or be hated by everyone and die alone.

I don't personally but I'd imagine it's better for the same reason the 8 is. The 16 doesn't have enough decent barrels to be aged in so the quality is hit and miss but the "special" bottlings get handpicked barrels.
That and the peat content on Lagavulin was cut many years ago and a younger whisky has a flavor profile closer to what Lagavulin used to be, because peat naturally disappears with time in the barrel.

I'm so not used to sleeping sober. I get weird thoughts like I'm not going to wake up and I'll get this weird impending doom sensation that lasts for a few minutes. Scary and confusing. I've tapered off before with vodka. I sipped enough until I started to feel a buzz then stopped.

What I was getting at was to look at tapering a different way. Instead of trying to sip a bare mininum, just go ahead and set a SLOW schedule for yourself. If you had 15 drinks yesterday then today have 14. You're still going to get smashed....just not quite as much. Then the next day a little less. And a little less again. Try that instead of going from full-on boozer to just a few sips. Make a more gradual reduction.
