How do I make a baked potato in 30 min or less?

I procrastinated and now I have about 30 min to get dinner on the table. All recipes I found say at least 60 min. I’d rather not use a microwave.

Hard mode: no microwave

Wrap it in foil, build a fire, and throw it right in.

put it in the oven, wait, have patience, and smite any that approach before the taters are done

>oil potato
>s and p
>wrap in foil
>crank to prescribed temp
>bake

Buy a pressure cooker.
You can have your baked tater in under 15 minutes

wrap it in saran wrap or something similar, and throw it in the microwave for like, 5 minutes maybe. you won't be able to tell the difference, not even joking. otherwise good luck

How long should I bake them? Kek can i turn up the heat to 500, will they cook faster or just burn.

Also They’re on the bottom rack

i've never had baked potato that was "crispy"

Sounds like your experience with baked potatoes is limited to the shitty ones then.

If you wrap 'em in foil, or microwave them, you don't get crispy skin.

use a smaller potato

what kind of stove? gas or electric?

honestly id probably roll another way with the potato with that time constraint.

Cut the spud in half, place on tray cut side up in oven, should take less time to do, not full jacket but close enough. If really short of time cut spud into quarters and bake in oven. Enjoy

Parboil then bake. Much faster.

You can parbake it in the microwave until done or nearly done, and finish the potatoes to dry the skin in the oven. Or you make the pieces smaller, and it cooks quicker. It's one or the other. Microwave, or make the pieces smaller. Smaller pieces of potatoes can be steamed, boiled, pan fried, and even then, you can microwave it to save time.

I have a rack in my microwave, and think the skin actually comes out without sogginess.
