Why in the name of fuck did the summer drin/ck/ thread with anons sharing drink recipes get deleted, but a thread about boxed wine stays up?
Get your shit together, mods.
Reposing the most refreshing summer drink, the John Daly.
If you want to """make""" a large batch of this combine the following:
>750 mL vodka (doesn't need to be a good vodka, also lemon vodka works best if you can find it)
>2L lemonade
>2L iced tea
No idea what those measurements are in freedom units, sorry Americans. I think it's 26 fl oz vodka, and 68 fl oz lemonade and ice tea?

Sounds good, anon. Going to try this at my next bbq in a few weeks' time. Planning on having chicken skewers, pork belly, not sure what else. I never bbq burgers or sausages, always try and keep it original and a bit different. I give it 6 minutes btw before this bread too goes the way of all alck threads

Such is /ck/, wine threads and threads about actual food and cooking get cut while threads about fast food, alcoholism, and /pol/ buffoonery get 200 replies.

Americans know what a 2L bottle is. Its the commonly sold size of beetus juice (coke.) Coincidentally, the size large fountain drink at the gas station.

A large fountain drink is 2L? That seems too high

All liquor and wine I see in america is labeled in ml and bottled in round ml amounts, presumably because the rest of the world uses metric and it's more economical to not make multiple bottlings just so one can be in ounces (beer's bottled in 12oz/pint/40oz sizes though)

Wild Turkey 101 & Lemonade is also good. I drink WT 101 on the rocks as one of my go to’s, but my wife is disgusted by the smell. Mix it with lemonade on a hot day & she’ll sip all afternoon.

Was being a bit sarcastic. But there are 44 and 64 ounce fountain drinks at many gas stations. Somewhere around 500 calories.

that’s an Arnold Palmer mixed w vodka
also your ratio is fucked

750 ml booze
1500 ml mixer would be better

Summer beer. In a blender put 1 can of frozen lemonade concentrate, fill the can with vodka, then water, add 1 beer, & ice. Blend for intoxicating deliciousness.

And it's called a John Daly. Palmer was a golfer and a sober sort of gyy. Daly is also a golfer, but a legendary drunk.

he means arnold palmer half&half, the half iced tea half lemonade drink

personally I make a "southern john daly" with bourbon, arnold palmer lite, and lemon juice

It's not that bad, the drink ends up being about 7% abv, stronger than an average beer.

This sounds delicious, I will probably do this tomorrow. Any type of beer you recommend for it? I'm thinking a lager, but do you have any better ideas?

Ah, sorry I've never been to the US so I had no idea if you were kidding or not. Though two of those big ones would probably be a good size for mix.

what sort of lemonade? The carbonated stuff that's sold in the UK and Australia as lemonade, or the non-carbonated stuff sold in the US and Canada as lemonade?

>> No.10643497

From the pic in OP I would say traditional, non carbonated lemonade. Alternatively you could probably just add lemon juice and water.

Srsly?
A Tom Collins is made with gin.
A John Collins is made with whiskey.
A vodka (or insert brand name here) Collins is made with vodka.
A vodka Tom Collins is made with ignorance and fail.

Lava Flows. As a matter of fact, I'm going to share the recipe with /pol/. They've been discussing the Hawaii eruption all week.
