Meat has no flavor. There, I said it.

The only way to make meat palatable is to slather it with so much seasoning, spice, sauce, oil, and butter that you can't even taste it anymore. Ever just take a raw piece of uncooked meat and bite into it? Of course not, nobody in their right fucking mind would. Yet... fruits, nuts, and vegetables taste delicious when entirely raw and unseasoned.

So why the fuck do so many people eat meat? It's expensive, unhealthy, difficult to prepare, and as we just discussed: flavorless.

Raw meat tastes fantastic though, the problem is just that most serve it too cold. Raw meat should ideally be body temperature (as if from a recently killed animal) though room temperature is an alright compromise.

If you don’t like meat, that’s fine, but maybe you shouldn’t be spending your time on an omnivore board.

I agree saignant or blue has more flavour.
Still want some seasoning though.

There is no need if it is truly raw. It is only dehydrated or cold food that is tasteless.

Even chicken has a flavour when it is unseasoned let alone red meats.

If anything people think meat doesn't have a flavour because their taste buds are so burned out from all the overseasoning and salt in their food.
