I think you mean the GMO roundup saturated monoculture corn. Heirloom sweet corn is goat, but it's extremely land intensive as it's a heavy feeder and only produces 3 ears/stalk. Also the heirloom maize nixtimallized and ground into flour for tortillas is fantastic stuff. Not everyone sucks at mega agricorporations' tits. Stop doing that and enjoy real food, not chemical pig slop.

GMO corn sucks. Not because it's supposedly dangerous or has health concerns. Rather it sucks because it doesn't taste very good. It's been carefully engineered for maximum yield but flavor is a total non concern.

Heirloom corn tastes better.

Internal documents made public in a recent lawsuit reveal the determination glyphosate is safe is questionable at best.

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/03/14/business/monsanto-roundup-safety-lawsuit.html

Secondly, a group of scientists dedicated to public health finally reengineered the "inert" components of roundup (which conveniently, our chem/agri megacorporate subsidiary FDA does not require disclosure of) and found they cause major damage to humsn tissue and cell structure. Agent orange, anyone?

My point was that regardless of the toxicity of glyphosate, GMO corn (as well as most industrial crops) sucks simply because it lacks flavor.

Any concerns regarding the herbicide is simply beating a dead horse. Though, you do have to consider that glyphosate replaces several other herbicides. When you consider its health concerns, you have to weigh those concerns against those of the other herbicides that it replaces.

It's like people bitching about the Keystone pipeline. Yes: it does have risks of ruptures or leaks. But compared to the risk of spills from the alteranative (rail and road transport) it still comes out ahead.

Hes an idiot but E Coli outbreaks are dangerous because it is inside the vegetables and can't be washed away

>> No.10620860

>>10620810
By that logic we shouldn't eat beef or flour or nuts, as those have all been sources of e coli outbreaks in the past dozen years. Just because something can contain contaminants doesn't mean it does, and it most cases all it takes is a little consumer awareness to prevent mishaps.

This is also true of many non GMO and "farmer-selected" foods like tomatoes, for example.

No, you are what you eat. If you want to turn into a vegetable then go ahead
