most korean restaurants cook the meat for you. in korea its just part of the service in america for more tips. the only times i cooked my own meat is if i was a regular or i told the server its cool to focus on other tables and that id cook my own because i was the youngest at the table and that was my job. dont mind though, free food and drinks then

Any yaki-niku(japanese style korean bbq place, a bit of different genre than actual korean) all you can eat buffet has time limits in japan. Either 60,90 or 120min mostly.

Take the all you can drink alcohol on the side for a little extra yen and get wasted too.

Its a good concept, little known now in europe but I reckon its coming more and more.

Sit down service but ofcourse you have a call button and expect instant service. In japan waiting in restaurants for service doesn't really happen. Its not a thing. You'll be taken in from the door by a server and seated, it all starts from there.

I have never had a place just expect you to cook the meat, there's always someone to come by and flip/cut it for you. Me and my friends always prefer just doing it ourselves so we can pull what we like. It's the ambiance of the sound and smell of roasted meats that makes them so awesome.
