Hey /ck/, give me your ideas for things to do with spam. I've got a can sitting around and usually just have it with rice, but want to try something different.

Musubi is a complete meal.

You can try cooking it. Heat up a pan and you can actually fry slices of it

Dice it, sautee it, then incorporate into an omelet or frittata. Or mix with scrambled eggs. Slice it thin and put it in a sandwich.

Thin slices, pan fried well done. Top with cheese on King's Hawaiian rolls with spicy brown mustard.

I just used some.

Day one: breakfast sandwiches w/ over easy egg.

Day two: Diced up 3/8" cubes and same size potatoes with eggs over the hash.

Both with hot sauce of choice. I used valentina black.

it works in place of meatballs in a spaghetti

it works in a stir fry (although i suggest rinsing it in water after frying the spam to get rid of some of the salt. along with your stir fry sauce and the salt that comes with spam it would be too much)

Thanks /ck/, I'm liking the sound of spam musubi, though I'd have to go and find nori and furikake somewhere. Otherwise, the battered preparation is tempting, maybe I could even bake it into some pastry.

Taquitos. So you heat up some corn tortillas for 30 sec just to get them pliable. Heat up some oil nice and hot. Cut the spam into strips and roll them tightly in the tortilla. Fry those babies up and serve with lettuce sour cream and salsa.

Nice, all really good ideas I hadn't thought of before.
For the burger, goya is bitter melon? I know somewhere I can get that, but is there a particular way to prepare it? It's always seemed overpowering when I've used it.
