Half of these sauces aren't even hot by Southeast Asian standards. Malay Sambal belacan, Thai Sriracha or even plain old Maggie extra hot chili sauce is better. The white man does not even know what spice is or how to eat spicy food on the daily. Try having it everyday like us. Going to a place without chilli sauce available is like a nightmare for us. Everything is so bland. These sauces of yours don't even have the heat to keep up.

It's not about the heat here in Portland it's about the flavour. We mostly only eat hot sauces that are despiced such as Secret Aardvark Habanero sauce. The mildness enhances the flavours.
