I had a dream last night that it started, but I didn't win any free food from the three stickers I got

>mfw your entire class got together when you were young trying to put together something
>mfw you got all the pieces you could from anyone you or your family knew in the community
>mfw just a few days from when it ended you all realize you're not getting shit
Fuck the 90's. You'd think with the 100's of pieces we gathered we'd get be able to get something other than free fries.

I have some bad news. https://priceonomics.com/the-mcdonalds-monopoly-fraud/
>Jerome Jacobson had a simpler idea. Jacobson worked as head of security at Simon Marketing Inc, the company entrusted with running almost every McDonalds promotion, from Happy Meal toys to the Monopoly game. Simon’s internal policies called for 2 or 3 people to oversee the production and distribution of game pieces, but Jacobson alone oversaw the distribution of Monopoly pieces around the country. In 1989, two years in the running of the promotion, Jacobson stole a piece worth $25,000 and gave it to his stepbrother. By 1995, the former police officer was stealing all the pieces of value.

You have no idea how happy it makes me to know that a national wire fraud scandal personally made your life worse.

wasnt that whole McD monopoly thing deemed illegal due to widespread employee abuse?

If you think about it, it brought a rather rough class of hooligans together in a scheme to potentially earn something. Even though we got fucked. And most of us were less prone to eating at McDonalds afterwords. I'm not sure my life is worse for it, the scammers might have done us several lifelong favors.

You should track them all down and go visit this dude in prison.

People bother saving the game pieces? I figured that shits completely rigged so just use it for free burgers n shit. Still worth it even without buy prizes I think. McDonalds breakfasts are the best for it as well, you get 6 in a breakfast meal for <$5, or you can get the breakfast burritos/hashbrowns. Although I dont know if they still include it on those items, I dont go to McDonalds nearly as much as I did 3 or 4 years ago, and this was in canada

Nah. Too busy with my own life. And sadly several of my friends have been killed. Those that haven't were well to do last I heard though. Really a win or lose out of that community I guess. Right now I had won and am near losing, but working on recovering. Too busy and not going to ruin what little I have left fucking with some idiot in prison over a McDonalds game.

Still, fond memories of the seven year old me getting together with everyone else collecting these fuckers everywhere. Things from so far back they seem like they're from another life. Kids these days will probably never go into a McDonalds and have the Pacers suddenly walk in to eat either because it was along the way, everything is about social media and publicity.
