I kinda like that idea. I do sometimes miss a way of signalling either that I want a waiter without having to constantly look for one and wave my arm, or to signal that I just want to be left the fuck alone and yes, the food is fine.
A little colour-coded napkin or even something as crude as a call button would work fine for me.
