I eat once a day. A large, protein-dense meal. It gives me all of my calories and protein for the day and it leaves me really stuffed so I don't feel like eating again for a while. But I also snort coke often so it's easy to not eat. Sometimes I just don't eat for a day or two.

I used to overeat due to boredom, I was up to 250 at one point.
What works really well is to simply cut your meals in half, you'll get used to it, and condition yourself to eat less than your maintenance calories.

I sympathize with a shitty family situation, but you can help it. You are not a victim, stop lying to yourself that you are one.

You at any moment can make a conscious choice to turn your life around, lose weight, become more social, get a girlfriend. If any excuses immediately pop in your head when I say those things that you can accomplish, then you are a helpless fatass with a victim complex who is wasting space by alive.

Don't make excuses, make the choice in your life to slowly transition into a normal human through hard work, diet, and exercise.

I understand anon. I want to change but I don't know how. Each time I've tried has ended in failure because I'm a weak, pathetic individual. I've tried:
>following portions
>cutting bread and soda
>no more fast food (this one was hard)
>no frozen meals or prepared dinners
>just water for drinks (really hard too)
>eating tons of vegetables
>started drinking smoothies for my sweet tooth cravings and because I hate the taste of vegetables
I get that this is where discipline comes in, where I need to stick with something out of sheer will. Do you have any advice for something like me, please?

Go on the protein & fat diet.
Avoid all carbs, sugar of any kind, and dairy
Eat all the fat, like butter, bacon, sausage, etc. you want. Even between meals. The fats will keep you from being hungry all the time.
The weight will fall off.

Don't view your failures as you being a failure of a person. Normal humans fail every now and then. View your lack of will as a failure.

To be honest, you seem to understand your diet needs well. Could use some tweaking, but at your weight if you truly follow it you should see a pound or two a week falling of. The problem is just sticking to it, correct?

Diet is 60% correct headspace. I'd start with motivational books, motivational speakers on YouTube or whatever. Find people who lost all that weight or did something else great, aspire to be them. You need to rewire your mind to feed off of success, to become that type A person that sets a goal and sticks with it. Read self help books, Jordan Peterson isn't a bad start. Start to take ownership and pride over things you do, rewire your brain to be goal oriented.

Once you're at that point, then dieting is just another goal you set. Don't go extreme on the diet, but make it a goal to lose 60 lbs by this time next year. Aim for 2lb a week, settle for 1lb a week.

Tldr: adjust psyche, do self help

Currently at 270, was at 410 about six months ago. Diet, exercise, and unbreakable will, bro. I used to eat a lot, now I have a couple moderate meals a day and spend around 3 hours daily doing yoga. 2 eggs fried in 1tbsp actual butter (not margarine) and a halfcup oats for breakfast, for dinner it depends on my mood but usually something with beans in it and a piece of fruit or some berries. I suggest checking the /fit/ sticky and using the resources their to help you get started managing yourself. The first step is acceptance. The second step is setting small (realistic) incremental goals. The third step is to just keep going. You can do it, I did it and am not gonna stop until I'm at 180.

Eat 3 squares and a snack in the afternoon.
about 3 years ago I was 30lbs heavier. Got some bad blood pressure results and decided to change eating habits and walk more.
Then a friend convinced me to go running with him and it wasn't nearly as painful or hard as I made it out to be in my head.
From there I set goals
>run a mile without stopping to catch breath
>run 2 miles
>get faster than a 10min mile in 2 miles
>run 5k without stopping for breath
>run a 9min mile 5k
and on and on. Goals are really important because you will find yourself changing your habits to meet the goals you set for yourself.
I never thought I'd be a calories in calories out person but now i consider it for every meal.

Do 20 mins of powerwalking in the morning before breakfast, then have a glass of freezing cold water, both kick start your metabolism and help you burn calories during the day. Keep up the freezing cold water throughout the day, and if you can cut out carbs before breakfast (just bacon sausage and egg with veg or something like this) then get in the habit of doing that, and eating carbs later in the day and evening.

Eating small meals every 2 hours helps with metabolism, as does eating spicy food. Do this every day and you will lose weight guaranteed.

I was 275, then counted cals down to 209, without much exercise other than walking from place to place. Got complacent and started eating again, but I'm back to 1500 cals a day.

You can do it, anon, it's just especially hard for the first week. Don't fall for any meme diets either, just count calories. Unless you're diabetic, in that case ask your doc (or the internet) about what's safe. You also do not /need/ to do heavy exercise like they do on tv. It's much less glamorous or magical as everyone puts it.
Eat less, and you lose weight. Counting cals, drinking water and eating mints after small meals.

Yeah, same here. Especially if I'm working, I tend to just forget to eat breakfast and lunch and shit.

I dunno, just eat when I'm hungry. Keto. Hey, does anyone else like to eat when they read fat people threads on /ck/? I'm about to eat half a rotisserie chicken.

This is a quality post anon, I'm sure you've inspired some people here. Good work.

I am just so tired of it. Every thread. No matter what. I don't know if it's actual Europeans making these posts, or someone's agenda to divide developed countries in one of the last places of open speech. Either way, not all Americans are fat and this stereotype is old and gay like the poster I replied to

I'm 38, male.
I think I eat too much white rice with butter, but what are you going to do? It's delicious.

I get hungry a lot and I'm always snacking between meals, especially if there's nothing to do. I do a lot of walking though so maybe that's why I don't put on weight.
