He grew up under communism in Romania, so we are still pretty conservative with our cooking, mostly soups and stews, bbq, polenta, etc...

But we shop at the local organic market, splurge on pistachios because we love them, and eat out way more often at relatively pricey restaurants.

He also enjoys buying kitchen gadgets that we have absolutely no space for, so there's that...

I'd fly my ass back to Japan and go to one of those ichiran joints. Fuck, I could eat there forever.

I would like to try civet coffee... And a geoduck. And turkish delight.... And a durian... And beef wellington.

I guess the usual shit like caviar riofrio, abalone,
Ōmi beef, shellfish platter, tomahawk steak, jamon iberico, duck, sea urchin, foie gras, and sushi.

Then for my personal tastes, it'd be good mofongo, pasteles, asopao de pollo, alcapurrias, sorullitos with hot dogs, tsukemen with a lot of shiitake and shimeji mushrooms, fresh lychees, guava, mangos and quenepas. Cuban bread with some butter that's been pressed down with a plancha served with some good coffee and milk. Pho with a lot of cilantro, korean bbq and mandu (both in soup, steamed and fried), gyoza, dim sum, tom yum, curries (japanese block, thai, indian, etc) all served over freshly steamed rice with some naan. Paella, dandan noodles, and some good gelato.

Fuck my tastes are all over the place.

This. Hell, I'd honest to God take a trip to Brittany and just have some God-tier fresh seafood prepared by a French chef.
