Don't mind me, just providing 2 weeks worth of nutrition for $7.

Excess increases blood pressure, with all the derivative consequences (coronary, heart attack, stroke etc).

Of course, as with every fad, some people go nuts and completely cut sodium or reduce it below healthy levels.

In NYC pretty much all restaurant food comes without as much as a sprinkle of salt. Want it salty? Use the salter. Want it salty all the way through, like it gets when cooked in salty water? Fuck you.

Ramen is on the 'upper side' of the safe range of sodium content, but panicking hippies consider it worse than cyanide.

That's usually because hippies and similar folk don't know jack shit about food and nutrition. Sadly, most vegans seem to be similar, and they feel like that they can live off without supplements. Hell, some people genuinely believe that they can live purely with Soylent (and water I assume)

>> No.10502053

>>10502038

Soylent *supposedly* is engineered to contain all the needed nutrients. That would mean they could live on it just fine.

Personally though, I believe it's snake oil that will have the creator vanish without trace once people start lawsuits.

I recall that originally it was claimed that Soylent is a meal replacement and can replace all meals, but was changed that it can replace any meal, not all of them, but I can't remember exact wording.
I also recall that you don't get equal values of nutrition and you'd get sugar and fat way too much if you want daily recommended amount of protein for example.

Ramen is good as your noodle/pasta base which you add other things like veggies, meat, eggs, etc.
