What is the spiciest/highest scoville rated food you have eaten or known about?
why not discuss spicy stuff because why not

i've started adding pickled jalapenos to everything.

i use them in lieu in hot sauce. it's spicy and vinegary, so it does the same thing. with the added benefit of getting veggies.

Hottest I've eaten was the time I wolfed down two raw habaneros.
I don't know how they rate among other chilies, but it was very unpleasant at the time.

Not sure really.
Vindaloo is my favourite meal of all time.
There's a "volcanic vindaloo" ready meal that I get regularly that's so insanely hot it even makes me go light headed and sweaty.
I've found most takeaway vindaloos I've had have been very tasty, but lack in heat for my liking.
I'm so used to hot food that it takes A LOT for me to be content with the heat, however hot it is, it's rarely hot enough.

Ultra Death Sauce is over 800,000 scovilles and I add it to almost every meal, that's the hottest I've known for sure.
2 drops of this stuff in a meal is enough to put a rhino in a coma, 3 drops is a deathwish.
Not only is it the hottest hot sauce I've ever had, but it's also by far the tastiest... it's so, so, so full of flavour.

Apparently this is only around 200,000 scoville. It's not enjoyable and just feels like I'm burning my mouth.

habaneros are around 300,000 SHU iirc
that's the hottest i've eaten 'comfortably',
but i've tried a couple of drops of 1.5mill SHU sauce, that was a killer.

I've eaten crazy hot indian and thai food but the absolute hottest dish I ever had was agu-jjim (아구찜) in Masan, Korea. When I'd finished half of it my mouth and tongue went numb as if I had been shot up with novacaine.

You should also consider supertasters, there are people who will legit pick up more on the spice than others. Someone who has shit tastes buds eating spicy food shouldn't even count, especially not the same as a supertaster. Kind of like how the same amount of alcohol has different effects on different people

Tried the spiciest ramen in Tokyo (Karashibi Kikanbo). It was just full of fucking powdered spices. I wasn’t able to finish mine; burnt my whole mouth. I had to rush to a nearby family mart to get some milk, but I was so proud of my bf for finishing it.

Pic related. Roommate got some for birthday or holiday or something, tried it in a few marinades and shit, but honestly it just became something to do when we were fucked up.

It's spicy, but it literally only lasts about fifteen minutes.

Worst spicy incident though was when I was a little kid, and got jalapeno all over my face and in my eyes at a Mexican restaurant. I've essentially pickled my brain in Dutch ethanol and much of the childhood is hazy, but that shit stands out.

One of my clients brought me a bunch of carolina reaper and ghost peppers he grew. I just mixed it with roasted garlic and onion and used it sparingly on tonnes of stuff, really good flavor. I regret not trying one raw just to see, haven't see the guy in a while.
