Because you're thinking about food. And you're on a food and cooking board.
Try to focus on something involving zero food. Maybe drink a lot of water.
Or go to sleep, if it's late where you are.
You've gotten used to eating and feeling a certain way, and it will take time to reprogram yourself. But you'll get there, just keep at it and don't get discouraged.
Tomorrow, try eating something with a lot of healthy fats in it. I don't know about you, but those keep me fuller, longer, and don't spike your blood sugar as much.
Good luck :)

Not OP, but thanks for being a stand-up guy, anon. That's some real genuine advice. Thank you.

>> No.10489586

OP, make the "cabbage soup" recipe tomorrow, and park some individual servings in the freezer for these emergencies of using up your calories earlier in the day. Should be okay mealwise once you finish off a bowl of that, spoonful by spoonful. It's delicious too.
Alternatives to keep on hand, progresso onion soup, lipton cream of chicken packets, and pretty much anything you can find under 50 cals.

Have a multitude of drink mixes that you enjoy from Klass aqua fresca guanabana, to crystal light to hot tea that is flavored. You can whirl up some crushed ice with any cold drink and make it take longer to go down, like a smoothie. Ice has no calories, and any hot tea with splenda works too, if you savor it. Consider getting fiber drinks, fiber splenda, fiber pills and other fullness creating tricks until your stomach gets used to the lower intake coming in. An apple or slice of watermelon or sliced cucumber with some chili-lime salt is refreshing and takes a bit to chew.

Before lunch and dinner, start the meals with a basic salad, plate of celery hit with some seasoned salt, or cup of soup to add time to the meal. You need 20 minutes for the brain to start feeling full.

Good luck anon. Remember if you feel hungry near bedtime...just means you're burning off fat and that you did the right things today...ie.it's working!

I'm cutting to get slim for the Summer too. I've literally had no more than 600 calories in the last 24 hours. The trick is to not eat carbs at all, that shit gives you an appetite and makes you ravenous, even if it's the healthy carbs. I start my low-cal days with half a bottle of muscle milk. It's so sickeningly sweet (it's got artificial sweeteners, not real sugar) that it kills my appetite completely. Over the rest of the day I take a sip whenever I feel an appetite working up. If I can do it, you can too, fatty.

Sure, if you ever need to lose 10 lbs overnight only to gain them back by being in the same room as a grain of rice.

No diet beats physics - losing just a pound of *fat* a day is impossible (at least naturally). Now water, you can lose five pounds a day of that easily.

>>10488648
Eat more protein. Maybe fats too, but I'm not one to shill keto. Dietary protein is a known appetite suppresant; carbs make you ravenous, at least on a cut.

This is not really science-backed, but I also recommend planning your portions so that you go to sleep a bit hungry. You can sleep through feeling famished, wake up and enjoy a huge meal that keeps you active, and burn fat overnight.

This, OP. Here's why:

>>10491376
>gain them back by being in the same room as a grain of rice.

What you don't understand is that keto suppresses hunger. You simply don't feel hungry when on a near-zero-carbs diet, i.e., keto.

Months after starting on keto, I decided I really REALLY wanted a sugar-loaded drink. A few hours after I had it, I was absolutely suffering from how hungry I was. I hadn't felt that in months. It taught me the value of not cheating on keto.

Some people who have studied this stuff talk about how the carbohydrates cause the release of ghrelin and of course insulin. Fine, whatever the science behind it is, all I know is that I am eating one meal a day of about 1200 calories and not even noticing any hunger.

That's literally a kilogram of chicken breast.

Just eat that and you'll be stuffed. You'll also have more than enough protein to build muscle.

I just microwave frozen vegetable mix (peas. Carrots, corn) in water and add some seasoning. Quick soup. Makes me feel even more hungry though, cabbage soup also makes me feel hungry.

Try counting your calories every day. You probably don't eat as much as you think. Genetics doesn't override physics.

Just because it's a vegetable doesn't mean it's healthy. Look at the actual macromolecule ratio. "Vegetables" that are high in carbs like carrots, peas, and corn are not even real vegetables. You want broccoli and spinach and the like.

I think the faggot's point was that dark leafy green vegetables are healthiER. I.e. Kale, collard greens, mustard greens, spinach, etc. But that certainly doesn't make carrots, peas, or corn unhealthy.

>what is dietary diversity?
Forest for the trees, anon. Just because one food beats another when viewed through a very narrow lens doesn't mean it should be eliminated from your diet. Health comes from eating a wide variety of foods in moderate amounts, not sticking to one.

Literally mom advice. Sorry but nutrition isn’t some magical concept. It’s very simple biochemistry that’s been studied for centuries and some foods are just straight-up better than others. Corn is almost entirely sugar.

Literally no doctor or health professional anywhere will recommend eliminating corn from your diet unless due to a pre-existing medical condition. Meanwhile, you call facts "mom advice" while talking out of your ass.

The irony...

Nobody said anything about eliminating it from your diet. I'm just really adamant about pointing out that some foods that people consider to be healthy really aren't. It's a misconception that all vegetables are good for you just because they're vegetables. Corn has more sugar in it than Coke of the same amount. Same with things like potatoes and onions. The original anon said he doesn't understand why, after eating these supposedly healthy foods, he gets hungry again so quickly. It's because they're high in glucose, which is a simple sugar that is broken down into energy very quickly and causes a massive spike in insulin. If you're trying to suppress hunger, eat foods that are high in volume, low in simple sugars, and have all of the macromolecules and minerals that are essential for growth.
