ok anon this is the 101 on boiling eggs to a perfect hard boil

boil 750mL of water then throw half away
put the eggs in
turn off the stove
wait 3min
turn the stove back on untils it boils again
then repeat the same process 5 or 6 times (japanese masters do it for about 10times)
be careful to not let your water hard boil more than 15seconds or it wont taste the same

I just made one.
Put the egg in the pot and cover with water. Put the pot on the stove.
Bring the water up to a boil. Once boiling, immediately take the pot off the stove.
Cover and let sit for 10 minutes. Run the egg under cold water for 30-60 seconds, and peel.

This produces the best results consistently. Since you are heating the eggs and the water at the same time it doesn't overcook them.

>Filling up a lot of water
>boiling an egg
Steam the egg
Fill pot with an inch of water. Put eggs in. Turn on heat to high. Cover with lid. I'm 5- 6 min you'll have perfectly hard boiled eggs. Less time for soft boiled. This also depends on your burners btu output.

>> No.10476854

>>10474246
Both burned and hard-boiled are equally trash. Once the yolk is solid you've destroyed the nutrients and worse the heat has oxidized the cholesterol, which form is deadly for the body. Runny yolk is what you're looking for to get the benefits of eating eggs. Also remove egg whites if you are worried about leaky gut as the lysozymes in egg whites which protect the yolk from pathogens by destroying their cell walls tear holes in the gut lining. I now only use raw egg yolk to make mayo.

That isn't true in the slightest. The water can easily be over 100C without turning into steam. At 100C, specifically the medium between water and air will steam, at a rate based on surface area and temperature.
