It is an option for a subtle hint of a spice that can otherwise overpower other flavors, particularly in a salad. Subtlety in some aspects can highlight other flavors. Do you mix an even amount of every spice you're going to use so that something like cinnamon pancakes can have as much allspice as cinnamon? Because that would ruin the flavor.

As an exercise, please do make cinnamon pancakes with as much allspice as cinnamon. You'll find that while allspice is useful in proper amounts to highlight the cinnamon and elevate the flavor, including it in equal amounts won't give you cinnamon pancakes anymore. It will give you allspice pancakes.

It comes from niggers that have gotten so used to covering their rotten chicken with so much spice (usually in a spice blend made by a white guy) in order to cover up the foul fowl taste. They also use the same spice on everything so it tastes the same no matter what, arguably worse than using no spices ever. Variety is one of the best spices that they rarely use or appreciate.
I'd rather eat unspiced food made with fresh ingredients that have otherwise been properly seasoned than have my senses assaulted by a vulgar overuse of spice.
