Anyone have food autism?

I am not a picky eater, I will try anything at least once. With one exception, any food that is comprised of many tiny globules.

Peas are fucking disgusting, look like 100s of spider eggs or some shit, bakes beans or beans or any kind no, corn when its been taken off the cobb, no (fine when its on the cobb) caviar, no, Dip n Dots, no

I dont know why, but anything that is lots of tiny little spheres fills me with hatred and loathing for them

Maybe only tangentially related, but I can't stand live music in a restaurant setting. It REALLY rustles my autism, especially if they expect applause. Even in the tap room I would rather just listen to muffled top 40 over a shitty speaker.

Interesting. What about dried spices like whole pepper?

Fuck me, those stories always get me, and I usually don't give a shit about strangers. I can't even relate. I've always had birthdays.celebrated with friends, family, everyone should.be able.to experience being the center of attention for just a few hours at least. Makes me feel bad.

Anyway, in regards to OP: I'm immune to most food autism, except for one thing. Most of the time I like (smooth) peanut butter, no issue with it whatsoever. Every once in a while, especially of I haven't eaten it in a while, it grosses me out. The unearthly smooth/firm/yielding texture, the dirt color, the scent...makes me want to gag thinking about it. Then it passes and I have no problem eating a spoonful

I mean I'm still going to throw around the word autistic here like there's no tommorow, but I legit feel for these kids.

Yeah. Happy hour usually ends when I see the live talent setting up. 9/10 times they have no appreciation for how loud their setup is. I'll add to to this, trying to hold a conversation seated at a bar with any more than three people. Leaning in and talking over each other like Italians, no thank you.
