I'm a busy Mom, who in addition to raising 3 beautiful kids and keeping my hubby happy, also maintains a food blog. Just posting a recipe is not for me.

For example, last week I was dropping my daughter Ddiana off at hockey practice and my son Hector off a dance class (my, they are so different sometimes, I forget they're twins!) and heading over to daycare to pick up baby Puddles. We call her that though she was christened, Angelina. Hubby, Jerry, still can't get over that he didn't know that some vasectomies take a while and in the meantime, it could just make a different colored baby. Puddles is our pride and joy.

So I was heading home to cook some dinner cooking and then attending to my food blog, when I got a call from my good friend Midge. She told me some hot gossip about another friend of ours (I know I'm so bad sometimes) Regina, who has been exploring lesbianism without her husband knowing. Midge and I have been helping her along this path, and sometimes when her husband takes a trip for work, we'll both stay overnight at her house to hold her hand or whatever gets her through the night. It's not uncommon for all three of us to sleep in the same bed on those nights because girl power and all that.

Anyhoo, I told Midge that Regina would be all right and that we're going to stay at her place this coming Thursday. Jerry's Mom helps me out with the kids on those nights, since once Jerry heads for his Mancave you might not see him until the following morning. His fantasy leagues keep him so busy, he's hired a neighborhood teen to help him keep his ledgers. Alexa is very mature for her age and Jerry never has a bad word to say about her.

Well, look at the time. Got to start that meatloaf and head to the den to work on my food blog. I'll get back to with the recipe, soon.

Hubby Jerry is almost computer illiterate and one Saturday he emerged from his man cave cursing. "Damn computer won't do what I tell it do," he said as he searched for a snack in the fridge. When I asked about this, she said she was so engulfed in getting the computer to work, when she went to pee, she must not have noticed she was pulling it up inside out.

The twins had all ready left to the part-time jobs and I'm glad, becasue I thought there was going to be another row about them sleeping in the same bed again. We're twins, Mom, you don't know anything about being a twin. When I remarked that 17-year-old siblings shouldn't be sharing a bed, they just glared.

And now Alexa spends most every night of the week, holed up with Jerry, fixing that computer. I'm busy enough with my food blog and Puddles, so I leave them all alone.

Here's my recipe for "The Legend of Meatloaf" but first I need to update everybody about what's been going on. First, Jerry and Alexa went to some Fantasy League convention in Chicago for the weekend. He took Alexa because he claims she's the ony that can really get his computer stoking, though i said I could look at it. "Not to worry, Hon, Alexa's a whiz with this thing." So they left Friday morning after I made Alexa call her parents for permission. They woul have dinner and maybe catch a show (Alexa's pick) and then usually getting home late would just chill on the couch watching old movies. Well this posting started with my recipe for "The Legend of Meatloaf" but as usual I got side-tracked. So let's start with some grocery shopping. Had a quick doctor's appointment before hitting Kroger, so went to see William Adamu, my vitaminologist. Dr. Billy, he insists I call him that, practices the organic medicine he learned in Kenya, give me a cup of herbal tea, and I doze off as usual. He says I'm just over thinking everything. With my food blog and my family, like any busy Mom, I have to agree. I adjust my blouse, and my panties, and after such a deep sleep I always have in his office, I pay his office girl and head toward Kroger.

I'm parking and hubby, Jerry calls. Hon, Alexa and I are stuck in Chicago. Snow, baby, can you believe it? I do, though it's April. When will you be back? Not sure. Call you a soon as we land.

What's next? The Legend of Meatloaf is one of my favorites and so easy to make. Get all the ingredients and am heading for home, when Midge calls. You're coming tonight, right? Regina needs us. If there's one thing i love about being a Finn is that we have this website called "Kotikokki" as in "Homecook" which is just a site for people to put up their recipes so it's easy to find a cheap yet working one for almost everything possible.
Recipes on other Finnish sites are mostly garbage, blogs have the problem of life stories and sites by the corporations/brand-chains etc have their recipes shoved full of unnecessary garbage just for the sake of trying to fit as many products in the recipe as possible.

Heading to Kroger for the ingredients in my Legend of Meatloaf because when I spent the night with Midge and Regina, I forgot about the meat and groceries in that car and they went bad. I put them all in a dumpster behind the Dollar General store.

Well I get home, and Ddiana and Hector are at it again on the living room floor, grunting and moaning, like any brother and sister in a fight. Kids, I say, what is it this time (even I have a limit)? Nothing Mom, we're just practicing wrestling moves. Well that made sense, Hector's face was down in Didi's crotch and Ddiana had her face in Hector's crotch. A Mexican Standoff if you know wrestling. The best they could do was rock back and forth, pushing their faces into each other's crotches, wriggling them back and forth and pecking like wood-peckers. Note to self: buy my teens some clothes that fit.

Well I hope you kids have worked up an appetite, because I'm making Legend of Meatloaf tonight. Oh, Mom you make that every week. Do you write about it every week? Now, let's not ask Mom about her food blog. Where's Puddles? I asked. She's upstairs with Dad and Grandma, the twins said in unison (yes, they really did) before going back to their wrestling.

I put the Legend of Meatloaf ingredients into the kitchen and walked up to see Puddles. When I opened the door to the bedroom, I saw Puddles asleep in her crib and Jerry's Mom was bringing her head up from under the covers, which covered Jerry laying in the bed. What's up I asked, as Jerry's Mom wiped her mouth and Jerry adjusted a bit. I was showing Mom my vasectomy scar, Jerry said. She says its healing quite nicely. That was 2 yers ago Jerry, I said. Well Mom wanted to see how the scar looked. Okay, whatever I said, I'm just going to change clothes ans make my The Legend of Meatloaf for dinner, and then maybe, get to my blog. Busy Mom? I should say super busy Mom!
