Do South Koreans do fried chicken better than whitey?

>> No.10393902

Pretty much. Whitey fried chicken is generally a meme.

Then they're doing it wrong.

>> No.10393912

Asians do all foods better than 'whitey'. How the fuck at this age don't you know that? Look at a Singapore hotel and some shitbox in Vegas. America is a goddamn disgrace at this point. You can't even pretend.

America is getting better.

But yeah Asian food can be incredible because they're not afraid of most parts of the animal. However, they do get stuck in their ways.

Somewhere along the line Americans got disturbingly picky. When it came to food, children never grew up and things remained "gross" if it was new or had more than three ingredients.

You gimps need to go watch Mega Food on Netflix. Go to https://www.marinabaysands.com episode and witness how backwards America is.

It's not about animal parts. America is just dying under its tv dinner culture. The American Century is over. They won ww2 kinda, now they're dying.

My white grandma made fucking kickass fried chicken, even shallow fried. She was a southern Baptist, though. Region and raising matters more than race, most times.
Plus, asian style chicken is fucking easy.

It already almost died, but is slowly recovering. If you were here you would know that grocers are carrying more and more produce and meat and shrinking freezer aisles, at least in the communities I've lived in over the last 15 years (8 of them).

Convenience food will always be a thing here, but healthier eating and taking care of yourself is starting to take hold.

I don't know if this translates, but this is a Netflix show that talks mostly about feeding THE FUCKING STAFF of 7000 people every day.

Here's the answer to end all debates on Korean Fried Chicken vs American Fried Chicken

I've lived in the US for about 11 years and Korea for about 12 years, and have eaten a shit ton of chicken in both countries.

The average chain's fried chicken quality in Korea beats the average chain's fried chicken quality in the US, hands down.

This doesn't mean fried chicken in the US sucks. I've had delicious fried chicken cooked by old black ladies from the south, using iron skillets and recipes that could be traced back to plantation days. If it's home made, yeah, it can taste awesome but the majority of wing joints have lackluster quality in chicken and rely on pre-made sauce that usually is never made on site.

In the US, you either have to go to a place well known for wings and using fresh ingredients to get our money's worth, though you're better off making it yourself.

Korea, however, following industrialization, was able to mix traditional recipes with the 'Ken-tuh-kee' chicken that expats would speak of. The increasing GDP and rapid urbanization allowed for the perfect battleground for different chicken chains to compete, where, at this point there's countless chains competing against each other for customers and you always see new flavors and methods of cooking popping up.

Wait, are we talking about wings, or larger cuts of meat? Do Koreans even fry larger pieces of meat?

>> No.10394115

>>10394066
Fried chicken joints in Korea follow the same carcass prep as America, with one 'box' having all the parts of 1 chicken (2 drumsticks, 2 thighs, 2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 drumettes) with the addition of the neck.

The OG way to fry chicken in Korea, though, is to butterfly a chicken and deep fry it, with little to no batter or breading.

Sure, with duck blood please.

As for the smell it depends on the store. The ones in old neighborhoods with bad drainage systems are like that. The newer neighborhoods don't have any smell.

America doesn't have anything built prior to 1975 outside of downtown Manhattan and the north end of Boston, so appreciation for historical areas is beyond your comprehension.
