Do Americans really eat 1800 calories in one sitting?

This is marketed as a meal for 1 and the pizza by itself is 1600 calories for 4 slices.

The calorie dense fast food stuff like your pic is similar to those free games with microtransactions. Most people only pay for it a couple times a year, and the practise is held up by a minority who constantly spend into it, ie whales. Literal whales

I never understood why they market a full day's worth of calories as a meal for one. Two slices at a reduced price would be more reasonable, and even then that's be 800 calories for just the pizza. The worst part is the poor nutritional value for all those calories.

Yes and most are unaware of it.
Whenever my family would visit we had a huge walmart pilgramage. They would order a few burgers and fries and shop around for hours.
That being put out there i noticed a huge difference in the quality of mcdonalds in walmart. Its better. All my dine in experiences were decent. I think its the fact that they dont expect alot of people and have different cooking preparations. Maybe the same goes for other places like little ceasars. But as a kid you notice shit like that off the bat. Infact i tried making it a practice to just dine in walmarts only if i have lunch breaks.

400 Calories for a slice of pizza? Is it like 80% dough or what?

>> No.10393709

As a current employee of a Little Ceasar's, I can say yes. Yes, it's mostly dough.
It's about 9oz of dough, 4.5oz of cheese and 16 pepperonis, and it's all cooked in a pan with a nice 2oz scoop of garlic oil in the bottom. Yum.

>> No.10393723

>>10393677
main difference between fast food pizza and something from a good restuarant. it's full of dough, cheap sauce but very little cheese. This forces people to buy extra cheese or toppings.

Whereas you can buy a regular pie and enjoy a good balance of ingredients, while not overpaying.

This is a single Dutch meal, called a Kapsalon. It's fries, garlic-yoghurt sauce, shoarma, cheese and lettuce. It's between 1200 and 1800 calories. Dutch regularly eat these in single sittings during a night out, no problem.

Literally the only difference with America is that this has some greens.
