I just got one of these yesterday, along with a cut resistant glove, pretty pumped to start using it. My right hand has been having a lot of problems and I can't use my knife too well so this is perfect for now. I'll probably mainly use it for grating lemon zest and garlic but seems like it'd be great for parmigiano reggiano too.

a unitasker means it's only used for processing one specific thing, like a garlic press. a microplane can be used to zest citrus, grate nutmeg and cheese, and enough other things to justify it not being a unitasker.

>>10363305
you can open blister packs with a can opener.

cut resistant gloves are for thin-skinned faggots. the only ones worth using are the chain-mail gloves, and those are primarily for butchers and fishmongers, where everything is so wet you can't get a reliable grip on your knives.

>where everything is so wet you can't get a reliable grip on your knives
I had to do a lot of meat-cutting, including handling a lot of sides of fish and some shellfish while active on the line. I mean back and forth back and forth!

It got the the point where I took a dremel and cut grooves along the spine of my blade for a better grip and then smoothed them out. Between that and using a terry-cloth towel I usually had a good grip.

By this logic, nothing is a unitasker, since all fake-unitaskers can be used as paperweight or doorstoppers.
