Alright faggots we need to talk about tinned tomatoes. I been hearing some shit like San Marzanos ain't the shit they are supposed to be and that is entirely possible because I don't pay attention to what goes in my mouth but I do like those Cento San Marzanos but what have your experiences been with canned tomatoes? Some people tell me Redpack aka Red Gold whole plum are the best or Muir Glen

The reason people like San Marzano because the flesh to seed pit ratio is better for making sauces
If you want to make a sauce out of non San Marzano, fine, it's not illegal nor is it necessarily untasty

There are plenty of studies, polls, and research being done to assure quality san marzanos are in specific cans
