My grandfather has one of those. I asked about it once and got some pretty wild stories about going to Spain in the 60s for "Pork Parties" where tourists went wild on suckling pig and wine.
He can't party like that anymore, though. He is having his very last days right now.

Yeah, he talks about wanting to die quite a lot. The rest of the family pretty much tell him to shut up when he does so I've started going at times when I know they're not there so he can get to talk about it. I think he has some pills and a bottle of red set aside for when the time comes and I'm not going to stop him. In fact, if he wants me to I'll sit by his side while the drugs do their work. We can watch an old movie maybe.
I'll miss him when he's gone but I don't want him to live in unbearable pain just to stave off my own loss. And ignoring him or telling him to shut up when he says "I hope it ends soon" isn't helping. He's a grown man and this is his decision. He doesn't owe these assholes to put up with that life for a minute longer than he wants to.

It comes up every now and then in food or travel media. I don't recall where I saw it but it was probably food network. I actually had to wait like 2 months to purchase it because it's an export of Spain and retailers stateside were waiting on shipments. It's been fun but it's definitely mostly just embraced by hipsters in an attempt to be different. Personally though I've just been having fun with it at home. Roommate likes it too. Objectively, it allows you to leave a poured bottle of wine out overnight without it getting skunked.

From what I read it was made to be able to share wine among various people without touching your mouth to it. You hold it above your head and pour wine out of the spout, it comes out in a controlled narrow stream that you aim into your mouth. As you become comfortable with pouring it you can increase the distance - the stream remains tight and controlled up to great distances. Search youtube for videos.
