I got a book for my birthday a few years ago that almost does this.
It's probably great for someone who is completely new to cooking. And the pictures are nice to look at.

Very attactive book and I really do think it would make a great gift for someone totally new to cooking. Someone just moving out from their parents' for the first time for example.

The English book is called "What to cook and how to cook it". At least that's what I have by Jane Hornby. It's a pretty nice book.
