No.

That stuff tastes like spoiled garlic. Try sambal.

Acv, mustard, pepper. If you aren't smoking it, beer and onions.

looks tasty but needs peas and carrots and maybe some whole grain pasta and possibly even some sour cream in fact just makes eggs on toast with avacado because that would be easier. thank.

I never understood this. if you're going to spend hours making a food, why put crap ingredients in it?

You went horribly wrong at step 2.

5 parts each brown and white sugar
2 parts coarse kosher salt
2 parts onion powder
1 part garlic powder
1 part fresh black pepper
1 part paprika
1 part chili powder

Slather butt with mustard and then apply spices generously. Do not actually rub them on the meat, just gently pat into the mustard.

Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 4 hours, then put in oven 1 hour at 325 then drop to 225 until internal temp reaches 203 degrees.

But none of those ingredients seems crap, aside for the sriracha (which some people love and others hate). Also there is no relation needed between cooking time and cost, and usually more expensive foods take less time to prepare. For instance chuck roast Vs rib eye steak.
