I'd wager it's similar in other Western-countries than where im at (Finland) that most younger people or atleast those with mindset toward leftism/sjw/multikulti think the Finnish food is really bland and boring since it doesnt use much spices, mostly salt&pepper and it's generally quite simple to make too and they've only been exposed to it in Schools or hospitals where it's supposed to taste relatively bland so everyone can eat it without issues.

Shit Nordic-cuisine seems to get a lot of flak everywhere but i dont see how something like say Indian is any better, in fact in my opinion it's a lot worse since at it's core it's just about hiding the taste of shit-quality meat&veggies under layers of spice-mixes or Mexican which seems to be cheese, beans and flatbread the cuisine.
