It's a pasta, no no, but dried pasta is kinda mediocre anywhere they don't regularly make fresh pasta

I do this literally every time I make spaghetti. I don't why you would EVER need to break pasta in half to get it to fit in the pot.

Because it is very strongly sweet and savory. Those two flavors are enjoyable in moderation but people who are aren't familiar with complex flavors will use ketchup to drown out other sensations in favor of simpler more familiar tastes.
