Peaches for many reasons.

Nothing like a perfectly ripe juicy pear. I find that they're only good for two or three days, they're not ripe before that and too ripe after. You need to feel it with your thumb every day. No worse feeling that biting into an unripened pear you thought would be soft and juicy.
