Why is it so hard to find good canned pate? What's your favorite? Where do you buy it?

I make my own. I can't stand the canned stuff. My local butcher always has duck livers and chicken livers available (I prefer duck), so I can whip up a batch easily anytime. Terrine is more time consuming, but I'll make that occasionally too, usually using duck, pork, and sometimes veal too.

Niggah, haven't you noticed from /ck/ threads 90% of amerimutts think liver is "icky poo poo stinky mushy." Unless you live in a major city in the US you can't even find fresh pate. Canned would be extremely unprofitable here.
