So everyone knows that certain wines go better with certain foods, but is this exclusive to wine? Where can I learn about other beverage pairings, both alcoholic and not? How do I know what kind of juice is going to go well with my roasted chicken and vegetables?

How do you pair wine (or other drinks) with food, /ck/?

Is it something you can improvise if you know roughly what you're cooking later?

I want to get to a point where I can say to myself, "My food will have beef, cumin, coriander and tomatoes in it so I'll pick this" or "Something like satay chicken curry so this'll go well with it" without having to refer to something like pic related every time I go shopping.

What do you lot do when choosing drink with food? This doesn't have to be about just wine, general drink tips would be appreciated.
