I've used several types of rice cookers, my parents had a couple tiers of Breville and I think one other random US brand, vs. an induction heated zojirushi; the quality of the final product was night and fucking day. Yeah it cost an extra hundred dollars but it's literally lasted me 8 years and I use the thing all the fucking time.

There's a difference between saving money and being a cheap-ass who thinks that anything nice is a waste of cash.

they changed the recipe at some point in the last 10 years. It's way dustier/crumbly than it used to be. That said, they're still a decent redneck gas station shitsnack for when you're on a long drive in the middle of nowhere.
