Hey, thanks for that.
I never really paid attention to the War on Drugs but that song comes across to me as a combination of Bruce Springsteen, Luna & The Cure (somehow). Cool stuff, I'll have to check out their catalog now.

My original post was something more akin to Jandek's "Blues Turned Black" (not gonna bother with a link because I'm sure it doesn't even exist, well... maybe by now it might). But I like this stuff; it's more uplifting, sonically.

Yes, he is. I listen to his podcasts regularly. Some good insight. I still drink, though. And he's still a blowhard (though nowhere near Carolla). Just picked up his book "Cracked" (I know it's old) but it's got some good stuff on brain mechanics and addiction. Things I can go back and re-read over and over again -- I'm only half-way through it but it's a decent book and coming from a good place.

It's a massive brain-rush / buzz / body high. Extreme nicotine. Totally not good for you and the mouth numbing part kinda sucks if you're into tasting anything or don't want your tongue to fall apart. It works well at first but the tolerance builds quickly. I still do it. But not for long.

This guy's correct. Be careful of the snus, though. It's been banned in several countries for a reason (even the ones where it was developed). But it is handy in that you don't have to spit. Your stomach & throat will pay the price though ...eventually.
