My dad's a pretty decent cook. His main hobby us smoking/bbq/grilling/etc, so there's always a surplus of boston butt, brisket, and ribs in our house after a competition. After he got a Big Green Egg we've had a lot more smoked chicken and fish as of late, since it's so much more convenient.

My mom on the other hand, grew up with two parents who couldn't cook much of anything well at all, so all she ever makes outside of salad is baked chicken thighs or breasts. Thank god my father just automatically cooks the main protein for any given family function we have.
