We here at 4chan were shocked and saddened by the disturbing incident that recently occurred on one of our boards. As many of you already know, yesterday on /tv/, a member of our moderation team referred to another poster using hateful and racially charged language. Know that we stand in solidarity with the user targeted by this attack. 4chan is not a platform for hate, but rather a space where all people—regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, economic status, ability, past or present incarceration status, or neuro-atypicality—can come together to post images and check digits. Going forward, we will—and must—make sure that this guiding principle is upheld. As a result of this unfortunate incident, all moderator and janitor positions will remain on hold until our application process can be re-evaluated. Thank you for your compliance and cooperation.
