It's one thing to call all preserves and Jams Jelly because you stupidly call all jelly Jell-o after 1 brand.
But there literally is a fruit spread called jelly and it's exactly the same as Jam without fruit pieces in it, you strain it after cooking and using Pectin in it.

It's really not hard using different words to refer to similar things America, come the fuck on.
