I've never been exposed to Slav cooking until I found Boris on Youtube. I tried some of the recipes and realized that Russia is very bland.

I also realized that I fucking love it at the same time. As long as I doctor it up with spices at home, that is. I have a little Russian grocery store in my neighborhood with overpriced imported things and I like to walk through and look at all the weird shit on the shelves.

Boris always talks about "Doctor Sausage" and it's basically just Bologna, of which they have several kinds available. Halva is also incredibly delicious. It's like peanut butter.
